  • The Jigsaw Resource Builder is a system of creating individually designed training materials by combining personally chosen blocks of learning.
  • Many of the learning blocks can be 'flavoured', so that the examples and activities are specifically relevant for an industry or sector, simply by selecting the desired 'flavour' from the dropdown menus.

Using the Resource Builder to customise and exisiting resource - an example

  1. Go to www.jigsawpublications.com.au
  2. Click the Browse our catalogue link.
  3. Enter some search criteria, eg: CHCAD1C, and tick a component to search, eg: Code, Jigsaw.
  4. Click the Search button and view your search results.
  5. Click a resource title to view the list of Mini Publications it contains.
  6. Click the Customise button.
  7. Search for more Mini Publications to your resource as required. Eg: to cluster CHCAD2C with CHCAD1C, enter CHCAD2C as your criteria, and search on Curriculum.
  8. Select the Mini Publications to be added and click the Add to Publication button.
  9. Click the Proceed to Next Step button, then give your new resource a title and code.
  10. Remove unwanted Mini Publications from your resource by clicking the Rubbish Bin icons.
  11. Select Mini Publication flavour using the drop-down lists.
  12. Alter the sequence of Mini Publications within your resource by re-numbering them.
  13. Click the Update button to view changes.
  14. Click the Preview button to view a pdf of your custom resource - we recommend Acrobat Viewer Version 8 for use with our site.
  15. When satisfied with your customised resource, click the Proceed to Next Step button.
  16. Choose a resource cover.
  17. Proceed through the ordering process or click Start Over to build a new resource.

Using the Resource Builder to build your own resource - an example

  1. Go to www.jigsawpublications.com.au
  2. Click the Build Your Own Resource link.
  3. Enter some search criteria and select a component to search, eg: Keywords or Title.
  4. Click the Search button and view your search results.
  5. Click a Mini Publications title to view more information.
  6. Preview the required flavour of your Mini Publication, add the Mini Publication to your resource, or return to the list of search results by clicking the appropriate button.
  7. Search for and add more Mini Publications to your resource, then click the Proceed to Next Step button.
  8. Give your new resource a title and code.
  9. As required, remove Mini Publications from your resource by clicking the Rubbish Bin icons.
  10. Select Mini Publication flavours using the drop-down lists.
  11. Alter the sequence of Mini Publications within your resource by re-numbering them.
  12. Click the Update button to view changes.
  13. Click the Preview button to view a pdf of your custom resource - we recommend Acrobat Viewer Version 8 for use with our site.
